It’s been a while since I hiked Mount Rainier, but it still lives somewhere in me as one of the most breathtaking experiences I’ve had in nature.

“Beyond the Flowers” was born from that memory. The soft thaw, the wild bloom of color, and the quiet depth of the mountain.

This piece has now found its home 💙
3 weeks to go ✨ Counting down the days until Muse 3 weeks to go ✨

Counting down the days until Muse Market! I’ll be bringing original paintings, prints, and a little piece of my studio into the space.

Can’t wait to see familiar faces, meet new ones there and spend a beautiful day surrounded by art and community.
I love using cold wax as a final varnish for both I love using cold wax as a final varnish for both my oil and gouache paintings to finish, seal, and protect them before they head to their new homes.

I prefer cold wax because it unifies and softens the surface with a beautiful velvety matte appearance. It’s also archival, non-yellowing, and helps reduce unwanted gloss and shine while still bringing out the richness of the colors and textures underneath.

I gently warm the wax first in a pan of hot water, pat a small amount onto a cotton cloth, and rub it thinly over the painting in circular motions, getting into all the little nooks and crannies, then allow it to dry for 48 hours before sending it off. ✨

How do you like to varnish and finish your paintings?

Still soaking in all the love from this weekend. 💛 Still soaking in all the love from this weekend. 💛

To every friend who showed up, spent time at my booth, engaged so thoughtfully with my art, shared kind words, reposted my work, and purchased a piece, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

And to those who couldn’t make it but still sent sweet messages, checked in, cheered me on from afar, and even surprised me with chocolates 🥹 thank you. Your love reached me too.

I’m also so grateful for the new friends and beautiful connections I made through art that day. One of my favorite parts of this experience was hearing your stories, sharing conversations, and connecting with people who truly resonated with my work.

As an emerging artist, every conversation, every encouragement, and every bit of support means more than I can express. You made my very first booth experience feel so special and deeply affirming.

So grateful for this community around me. ✨

What does it mean to be rooted? As someone who ha What does it mean to be rooted?

As someone who has lived between cultures for years, I’ve come to realize that identity isn’t fixed it’s something we shape over time. This piece explores that space between inheritance and becoming.

I’m so grateful to share that Rooted in Values has been selected for the In Dialogue exhibition curated by @salmaarastu and presented by the Indian American Artists Association @artistsiaaa 💛

I wrote a deeper reflection on the meaning behind this work (link in bio).

I’d love to know - what does “being rooted” mean to you?

She is fierce. She is compassionate. She protects, She is fierce. She is compassionate. She protects, nurtures, and rises again and again.

This painting of Durga was created with traditional gold foil and a vision of her as serene and motherly, holding both strength and grace at once. To me, she represents the many forms of feminine power - quiet resilience, courage in adversity, and the deep love that sustains life.

On this Women’s Day, I celebrate the Durga within every woman - the force that creates, protects, and transforms the world.

Happy Women’s Day. ❤️✨
