Artist Statement
Through my work, I explore the quiet beauty of the natural world and the inner landscape. As an abstract landscape artist, I am drawn to places where stillness and movement meet—on horizon lines, mountain trails, and within the layered moments of everyday life. Painting allows me to tune out the noise of the world and tune into myself. It is both a refuge and a return.
Using gouache and oils, I create atmospheric pieces that blur the line between memory and imagination. My work is rooted in personal symbolism and inspired by the places that have moved me, whether on mountain hikes, quiet walks around the neighborhood, or during travels, that deepen my sense of resilience, growth, and belonging. With each painting, I aim to leave behind a mark of beauty and peace, an invitation for others to pause, breathe, and reconnect.
I believe art has the power to hold space for reflection, transformation, and joy. Whether through vibrant color, soft textures, or fluid compositions, my hope is that my paintings offer a sense of calm and a spark of wonder in equal measure.
